Designed and engineered by Frits De Voogt, who has created designs for 53 yachts and naval architecture for 68 yachts over 24 meters, EMERALD also features an interior by Design Unlimited, which has completed interiors for 31 other superyachts listed in the BOAT Pro database. She is built with a teak deck, a steel hull, and an aluminum superstructure.

In 2023, EMERALD completed a comprehensive rebuild at the Balk Shipyard.
